Privacy Policy

1. Screenshot privacy and purchase data

LongShot does not require an app account. Screenshot detection, stitching, and saving happen on your iPhone. We do not upload screenshots, stitched images, photo-library contents, or photo-library identifiers. The monthly free-use counter stays on your device.

Existing App Store versions without RevenueCat do not use the service described below. In new RevenueCat-enabled versions, including beta versions, Apple processes one-time purchases. RevenueCat processes a randomly generated app user ID and purchase/transaction information to verify and restore purchases, manage lifetime access, and provide purchase analytics. Requests also include device model, operating-system and app/SDK versions, language, store environment, and Apple's identifier for vendor (IDFV), when available. A random ID can be associated with purchase records; it does not mean the data is fully anonymous.

We do not provide RevenueCat with your name, email, screenshots, photo-library contents, or payment-card details. Additional SDK diagnostics and advertising attribution are disabled, and we do not use purchase data for cross-company advertising tracking. Purchase records may remain necessary for restoring access, security, and legal obligations. Uninstalling the app does not automatically delete server records. 2. Photo library access

LongShot requests read and write access to discover recent overlapping screenshots, save the finished image, and request source-image deletion only when you choose it. You can also select images manually with Apple's system photo picker.

3. On-device processing

Decoding, overlap detection, stitching, and PNG rendering happen on your iPhone. A result may briefly exist inside the app's temporary container and is removed after a successful save, replacement, or explicit discard. LongShot operates no cloud image storage.

4. Source-image deletion

Cleanup is offered only after the stitched image has been saved. iOS always presents a system confirmation. Cancelling deletion does not affect the saved result.

5. Revoking access

You can change or revoke photo access in Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → LongShot. Automatic discovery will stop when access is unavailable.

6. Historical website launch-notification records

The website no longer accepts launch-notification signups. Records from earlier voluntary signups remain in the previous hosting system and have not been transferred to Vercel. These records contain only the normalized email, page language, consent version and time, plus unsubscribe and notification status; they do not contain screenshots, device identifiers, browsing activity, or IP addresses. We do not sell these addresses or use them for other marketing. You may withdraw consent or request deletion of an earlier signup at any time through longshotapp@163.com.

7. Website analytics, cookies, and third parties

The website uses Vercel Web Analytics to measure page views, visitor counts, referrers, approximate location, and browser/device information. These statistics help us assess website traffic and search performance, separately from the app's purchase processing. Vercel uses request-derived daily identifiers rather than third-party cookies. Website analytics does not receive screenshots or photo-library data. We do not enable advertising tracking or session replay. LongShot does not knowingly collect information from children. Purchase validation and purchase analytics are described in section 1. The hosting platform may use technology necessary to keep the service secure and available.
