Tailor vs Picsew vs LongShot: Which iPhone Screenshot Stitcher Should You Use?
An honest comparison of the three main iPhone screenshot stitching apps: what each does well, what it costs, and who it's for. Written by the developer of one of them.
Full disclosure first: I made LongShot. I'll try to be fair to the other two, because they're both good apps and I used them before building mine.

Tailor
The original "just open it and it's done" stitcher. It scans your recent screenshots and merges them automatically. It's free, and it works. It focuses on automatic vertical stitching. Its release notes say third-party ads were removed. Manual seam adjustment is not listed among its features; check the result when two screenshots do not line up.
Picsew
The power tool. Scrolling capture from a screen recording, manual and automatic stitching, batch mode, annotation, and the ability to stitch sideways. If you make long screenshots often and want control, this is the one. The trade-off is that the good features are paid, and the interface has a lot going on for a one-off job.
LongShot
I built it for the case Tailor covers, but without ads and with two additions. First, it checks that two screenshots actually overlap before merging, and offers manual selection in the app when it cannot find a reliable sequence. That reduces bad joins, but you should still check the result. Second, on a compatible version, with the Shortcut assigned to Back Tap, you can stitch a small matching group into Photos without opening the app. Follow its message if it needs you to open LongShot. Image processing is on-device and there is no account; versions using RevenueCat send purchase and entitlement data, not screenshots.
What it doesn't do: screen-recording conversion, horizontal stitching, annotation. If you need those, Picsew.
Which one
If you stitch a chat once a month, Tailor or LongShot. If you do it daily and want features, Picsew. If data collection matters to you, compare the current privacy labels: local image processing does not mean no analytics.
