Use Full Page when iOS offers it. Stitch when it does not.
Take a normal screenshot and look for the Full Page tab in the screenshot editor. If it is missing—or if you need one PNG from a chat, social feed, settings screen, or another app—capture overlapping screens and stitch them. LongShot validates the overlap locally before building the result.

Choose the capture method that matches the content
Apple documents the current screenshot controls in its official iPhone User Guide. Full Page availability depends on the view exposing a complete scrollable document; it is not a universal capture mode for every app.

Capture a clean overlapping sequence
- Keep the same orientation and width.Do not rotate the phone or change display zoom halfway through the sequence.
- Leave visible overlap.Keep roughly one-fifth to one-third of the previous screen visible in the next screenshot.
- Move in one direction.Capture from top to bottom without jumping backward or inserting an unrelated screenshot.
- Open LongShot after the sequence.After first-time Photos setup, it checks recent screenshots and validates real adjacent overlap.

What a stitching app does—and does not do
LongShot does not secretly scroll through or capture another app. You take the screenshots. LongShot then reads the selected or recently captured images, verifies matching content, removes repeated overlap, and renders one PNG on your iPhone. If it cannot verify a safe automatic candidate, it offers manual image selection instead of guessing.
